When the Community Steps In 🐾
Last week, a neighbor told me about a small pack of dogs who had survived a severe tick infestation. I know this little family well — one female I had fixed last winter and two males. I was surprised, since they usually had someone looking after them. Sadly, she wasn’t around this time, and the dogs had suffered.
The next day, I found them covered in ticks. I powdered them with sevin, gave some powder to her brother, and went back later to check on them. This time, they were clean, happy, and wagging their tails 🐶✨
Just yesterday, I heard about another mini pack — three females I had fixed last year. Their condition was worse, but after a good treatment and some food, they are now clean and full. I left another bottle of powder for them too.
I can’t do this alone — and I’m glad that more neighbors are noticing, caring, and reaching out. Each time someone tells me about a dog in need, it’s proof that kindness is growing. Together, step by step, we can make a difference.
