When the Community Steps In ๐พ
Last week, a neighbor told me about a small pack of dogs who had survived a severe tick infestation. I know this little family well โ one female I had fixed last winter and two males. I was surprised, since they usually had someone looking after them. Sadly, she wasnโt around this time, and the dogs had suffered.
The next day, I found them covered in ticks. I powdered them with sevin, gave some powder to her brother, and went back later to check on them. This time, they were clean, happy, and wagging their tails ๐ถโจ
Just yesterday, I heard about another mini pack โ three females I had fixed last year. Their condition was worse, but after a good treatment and some food, they are now clean and full. I left another bottle of powder for them too.
I canโt do this alone โ and Iโm glad that more neighbors are noticing, caring, and reaching out. Each time someone tells me about a dog in need, itโs proof that kindness is growing. Together, step by step, we can make a difference.
