Sam’s Fight Against Mange 🐾

Sam’s Fight Against Mange 🐾

This is Sam, a big old boy we met in a nearby area. Sadly, when we first saw him, he was suffering from a severe case of mange. His skin was raw, his fur almost gone, and he looked so uncomfortable. We tried to find out more about him, hoping that someone nearby was caring for him, but for weeks we couldn’t get any clear answers.

Even so, we made sure to visit regularly, feeding Sam and his pack, and trying to gain his trust.

Then one night, while we were feeding, we met a kind doorman and his young daughter. To our surprise, the girl told us that Sam was her dog. She loved him deeply, but she didn’t know how to help with his mange. The medicine is expensive, and without treatment, Sam’s condition had only gotten worse.

The very next day, we came back with the medication Sam needed. His little girl was overjoyed, but also cautious — she stayed close, watching us carefully, to make sure we weren’t giving him anything harmful. That showed us how much she truly cared about him, and we loved seeing that awareness and responsibility at her young age.

Over the next weeks, Sam’s condition began to improve. After two months, he was a completely different dog — healthy, happy, and playful again. His fur grew back, his skin healed, and most importantly, his tail wagged freely with joy.

Now, Sam is enjoying his life with the girl who loves him so much, and every time we see her, she thanks us again. But the truth is, Sam’s story is not just about healing from mange — it’s about trust, compassion, and the bond between a little girl and her dog.
