Three Little Souls Rescued 🌿Oct 2025

This week, three small-breed dogs (two females and one male) were finally rescued from a heartbreaking situation.

Their story began almost ten months ago, when a doorman in my area noticed me feeding the strays. He said he wanted a “small breed puppy,” even offering to pay. I told him clearly that I am not a breeder, that I don’t trade dogs, and that caring for an animal is a big responsibility.

A week later, he called to say he had “gotten three dogs” and even offered to give me one for free. When I asked about their history, he refused to share anything. Days later, he called late at night saying they were hungry and had no food. I immediately went down with kibble and water — and from that day on, I made sure they had food every couple of weeks.

As summer came, the situation grew worse. Fleas and ticks infested them, and despite me giving him Sevin powder and food, their condition kept deteriorating. When I checked last month, my heart broke: the dogs were covered in fleas, living in filth, and very thirsty. I begged him to surrender them to a shelter, but he refused — insisting I “buy” them. I refused, knowing that if I paid, he would only get more dogs to exploit.

Things became even more urgent when I discovered he had sprayed them with gasoline, thinking it would kill the insects. I was devastated but did not give up. I warned him about the dangers, insisted they needed care, and finally, after a long struggle, he agreed to surrender them.

With the help of a kind shelter, all three dogs were taken in. They received full medical check-ups, treatment for mange, and are now safe, clean, and finally cared for. Soon, they will be ready for adoption into loving homes.

This rescue was not easy — but persistence, compassion, and refusing to give up can truly save lives. 💚🐾
