The Great Summer Bribe: How the Pack Handled Their Bravecto

If you caught our post about our strategic summer plan, you know we had a mission: get long-lasting anti-tick protection to our high-exposure street crew. Sounds simple on paper, right? Well, the pack had other ideas, and it turned into quite the 30-minute culinary showdown!
Here is how the Great Summer Bribe went down:
Basbousa & Spike: These two did not make it easy. It took a rotating menu of grilled chicken, chicken kiev, and finally my ultimate golden ticket—chicken liver—to finally trick them into taking their doses. But mission accomplished! 🍗🎉
Queen Bolt: Absolutely not. She lived up to her royal status and refused every single food temptation. She even got highly offended when I tried to give it to her directly! My husband and I had to make it up to her later with endless hugs, kisses, and snout scratches to win back her favor. 👑❤️
Dahab to the Rescue: Since Queen Bolt firmly declined her treatment, the dose didn’t go to waste. I gave it to Dahab—truly the goodest girl ever—who happily gobbled it down with some chicken liver in a matter of seconds!
As for Bolt, Tommy, and Jack, they will be staying on our reliable 10-day powder routine for the rest of the season. Tailoring our care means adapting when the dogs have their own opinions, and we are just glad everyone is staying safe, bug-free, and very well-fed this summer! ☀️🐕
