Every rescue story comes with its unexpected twists, and this one is all about resilience, community, and looking out for those who have been let down.
A while ago, a sweet dog named Bella was cruelly abandoned by her family. Thankfully, the kind landlord of the garage where I park my car stepped up and began looking after her. But street life is tough, and just three weeks ago, the garage owner called me with bad news: Bella was scratching herself nonstop.
Knowing she had already been through enough heartbreak, I rushed over immediately. Sure enough, poor Bella was dealing with a case of mange. The very next day, we got her the medication she needed, and I am so happy to report that she is already doing much better and healing nicely!
However, the story didn’t stop there. Just two days ago, a local breeder discarded another innocent dog—a boy whose paws weren’t considered “perfect.” (We’ve nicknamed him Coco, and trust me, we have a whole separate post coming soon just for him!)
Faced with two dogs needing a safe way forward, I reached out to a trusted local shelter. Thankfully, late last night, the team arrived, and both Bella and Coco were safely taken in. They are now in a secure environment where they can get the care they deserve, and we are praying they find their forever homes very soon.
Thank you to the garage landlord for keeping an eye on Bella, and to everyone who helps us step in when these precious souls need us most. Stay tuned for Coco’s full story! 🐾❤️
