A New Face, a New Ally, and a Quick Detour to the Hospital

Two weeks ago, while doing my usual rounds in a nearby area, a new face popped up to greet me. She was young, a little bit underweight, but despite being new and hungry, her tail didn’t stop wagging. We immediately got some food into her belly and started asking around the neighborhood to see if anyone recognized her.

At first, no one seemed to know where she came from. But the breakthrough came when I connected with a wonderful gentleman who lives nearby. It turns out he is another quiet hero—he feeds the local dogs daily and confirmed she was entirely new to the area. While neither of us knows what journey brought her here, he immediately stepped up to include her in his daily feeding routine.

Knowing there are several unfixed male dogs in that specific area, he asked if we could coordinate a TNR for her to keep her safe from any unwanted pregnancies.

5 Days ago, we officially took her to the hospital to be fixed! Everything went smoothly, and she is officially on the road to recovery. We’ve decided to name her Borio 😂❤️.

Borio is a beautiful reminder of why community collaboration matters so much. Because a kind neighbor spoke up and we were able to act quickly, Borio will never have to face the hardship of raising puppies on the street. She has a full belly, a safe future, and a whole neighborhood of friends watching out for her now. Welcome to the family, Borio! 🐾✨
